7/12/12 - Had our official home visit with our social worker.  It went great!

7/10/12 - After lots of research, we've decided to go independent instead of using an agency.  We've been in contact with Danielle from DRC Adoption Services and had our first of I'm sure many phone calls with her this morning detailing the process.

7/9/2012 - We've completed and submitted the background forms and had the fingerprinting done.  The nice lady at the office said she'd try and speed this through, so we'll see how long it takes.

07/6/2012 - We have our first meeting with the social worker that will be doing our home study.  As it turns out, she lives in the same neighborhood, just on the opposite side!  She's a wonderful lady and has put many of our fears to rest about the home study.

07/04/2012 - 07/05/2012 - We tell family and close friends who are more supportive than we ever could have imagined!

06/30/2012 - Rob is ready to proceed and we agree we want to help a little girl in the Democratic Republic of Congo.

06/29/2012 - Christy & Rob have a very long, 3 hour discussion about adoption.

05/18/2012 - 06/28/2012 - Praying and talking about adoption with each other and our three boys.

05/18/2012 - Christy returns home - 100% sure that it is God's plan for them to adopt a child....Rob is hesitant.

05/07/2012 - Christy tells Rob she feels God nudging them to adopt 1 hour before she gets on a plane to Brazil for a mission trip.
